In a short video submitted to us by anonymously saw crowd of supporters booing what appeared to be his vehicle as he sped off. Now the issue is whether the video is untrue or Fayemi is lying on national TV as he claimed today he was at Chief Oni’s house and all went well.
In another development, no less than a quarter of the government of Ondo State was at Fayemi’s country home in Isan-Ekiti on Sunday afternoon to facilitate with him on his hard-fought victory in clinching the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
After treating them to a sumptuous lunch, Dr. Fayemi rose up to thank them for the support that the government of Ondo State extended to him prior to, during and after the primary. Fayemi said that his hope is to deepen the relationship that already exists between the two states when he becomes the next governor of Ondo State by integrating the economies of the two states for a mutually beneficial exchange because “Ekiti is Ondo and Ondo is Ekiti,” he quipped.
Fayemi told the government delegation that he almost told the governor not to be so worried that the man on the frontline as Arakunrin kept calling him every hour on the hour wanting to know about developments during the Saturday primary electioneering process. “I told him that counting hasn’t even started” and he said he just wanted to know. “Your governor is truly a dependable ally,” Fayemi said.
Present at Isan-Ekiti was His Excellency Agboola Ajayi, the deputy governor; SSG to the state govt Mr. Abegunde, the commissioner of Agriculture; Ade Adetimehin, APC state chairman, to mention but a few.
