Breaking! Breaking!! Ekiti Gubernatorial 2018: Ojudu ahead of the Pack, at APC Primaries Screening; Takes a Vantage Lead


Ojudu Leads the Pack

Senator Babafemi Ojudu leads the pack of 32 aspirants of the APC after a grueling screening at the Rock view Hotel in Abuja. He scored 76 percent to come top. Next to him is Engr. Segun Oni who got 65 percent.

Three aspirants were believed to have been disqualified; One woman and two men. No reason has been adduced for their disqualification. Another aspirant who could have been disqualified was former governor and serving Minister Dr. Kayode Fayemi. A notice of appeal he filed at the high court in Ado Ekiti and brought in to Abuja this morning led to the reversal of the earlier decision disqualifying him.

The indication that he could be disqualified came yesterday when he was grilled for close to one hour. He spent the longest time before the panel. Ojudu spent the shortest time which was less than five minutes while other aspirants spent an average of 20 minutes.
No reason has been adduced for the disqualification of the three aspirants.
